Jesus is not about going to church on Sunday
Jesus is not about church rituals
Jesus is not about speaking Christianese
Jesus is not about a list of rules
Jesus is not about being a moral person
Jesus is not about being good
Jesus is not about pointing out the shortcomings of others

Jesus is about love

Jesus is someone who accepts you as you are right now
Jesus is someone who loves you without question
Jesus expects less of you than you expect of yourself
Jesus is someone who knows what hurts you
Jesus is someone who forgives us before we repent
Jesus loves us as part of his pure nature
Jesus' love is action not reaction

Jesus is someone who loved us so much that he died for us

Simply so that we can have the privilege of crawling into the lap of God and calling him

"Abba, Daddy"

and rejoicing in the pure compassion and acceptance that no human could ever show us.

Jesus is knocking,
all you need to do is let him in,
accept his acceptance
accept his love
and begin to love others as he loves you.

That is all, that is the radical message of Jesus

To love one another as he loves us.
